HJ-C2 is a super white opaque EVA interlayer developed for laminated glass where a clean white appearance and strong visual screening are required.

Once laminated between two sheets of glass, the interlayer produces a bright, solid white appearance while retaining the safety structure of laminated glass. Unlike frosted or translucent white EVA films, HJ-C2 is designed for projects where very low visible light transmission and strong privacy are more important than light diffusion.

It is commonly used by glass processors for decorative wall panels, partitions, doors, furniture glass and architectural features requiring a uniform white finish.

What Is HJ-C2 Super White Opaque EVA?

HJ-C2 is part of the E&N HONJIA decorative EVA interlayer range.

The film has a much stronger white appearance than clear, frosted or jade-white EVA. After lamination, the interlayer becomes an integral part of the glass structure:

Glass → HJ-C2 Super White EVA → Glass

This produces laminated safety glass with a smooth white appearance from both sides.

Because the white color is located inside the laminated glass rather than applied as a coating to the surface, the finished panel keeps the clean surface and depth associated with glass.

Bright White Appearance with High Opacity

HJ-C2 is designed for applications where the glass should appear white rather than transparent.

At 0.38 mm thickness, the film has a shadowing rate of at least 98%, with visible light transmission below 0.3%.

This makes it particularly suitable when the designer wants to hide objects, structures or spaces behind the glass while maintaining a clean architectural surface.

The finished glass has a more solid appearance than frosted or jade-white laminated glass.

For glass processors, this also makes HJ-C2 useful when a project calls specifically for opaque white laminated glass, rather than simply “white glass.”

Where Is HJ-C2 Used?

HJ-C2 works well in projects where privacy and a strong white visual effect are required.

Typical applications include hotel and commercial interior wall panels, where large white glass surfaces can create a clean architectural finish; office partitions and privacy panels, where visibility through the glass needs to be minimized; doors and interior glass panels, where an opaque decorative surface is preferred; and furniture, cabinets and retail displays, where white laminated glass can be incorporated into contemporary designs.

It can also be used for decorative glass features in reception areas, restaurants, retail environments and residential interiors.

HJ-C2 vs Frosted and Jade White EVA

Not every white EVA interlayer produces the same effect.

HJ-C2 is intended for customers looking for a bright, solid and highly opaque white finish.

HJ-D2 creates a sandblasted-style translucent appearance, while HJ-Y2 and HJ-S provide different frosted or jade-white visual effects. HJ-Y has its own jade-white appearance.

HJ-C2 is different: its main purpose is to produce a much more solid super white opaque laminated glass.

For projects where some light diffusion is required, one of the frosted white grades may be more suitable. For projects where the target is a strong white surface with minimal visibility through the glass, HJ-C2 is usually the better starting point.

Processing HJ-C2 EVA Interlayer

HJ-C2 is processed using the standard EVA laminated glass vacuum-heating process.

The glass should first be cleaned and dried carefully. HJ-C2 is then placed between the glass sheets and trimmed to the required size.

The assembled glass is placed inside a vacuum silicone bag. After stable vacuum conditions are established, the glass is heated in an EVA glass laminating furnace according to the appropriate processing parameters.

During heating, the EVA softens, bonds to the glass and completes the required crosslinking process.

After cooling, the finished laminated glass should be checked for uniform white appearance, edge quality, bubbles and bonding condition.

Quality Control for HJ-C2

For opaque white EVA, appearance consistency is particularly important because color differences, contamination or processing defects are easier to notice across a large white glass surface.

During production, the film surface is inspected for contamination, marks and color consistency. Thickness and roll dimensions are checked according to production requirements.

Finished laminated glass samples are also used to evaluate bonding, appearance and processing stability.

Before packing, rolls are inspected again and protected against contamination and moisture during transportation and storage.

1.Is HJ-C2 a transparent white EVA film?

No. HJ-C2 is designed as a super white opaque EVA interlayer. If the project requires a frosted or translucent white appearance, other white EVA grades may be more suitable.

2.What is the difference between HJ-C2 and frosted white EVA?

HJ-C2 gives the laminated glass a stronger, more solid white appearance with very low visible light transmission. Frosted white EVA is intended to diffuse light while maintaining a translucent appearance.

3.What thicknesses are available?

Standard HJ-C2 thicknesses include 0.38 mm and 0.76 mm. Please contact us if your project requires a different specification.

4.Can I test HJ-C2 before placing an order?

Yes. Samples can be arranged for lamination testing. Our standard EVA sample quantity is around 1 m². For larger testing requirements, please tell us the glass size and planned application so we can prepare a suitable sample quantity.

For paid EVA samples, the sample cost can be deducted from a subsequent formal EVA order.

5.Is there a minimum order quantity?

We can support trial orders and different project quantities. There is no rigid MOQ policy for every specification, so please send us the required thickness, width and quantity for confirmation.

6.What information should I provide when asking for a quotation?

Please provide the required thickness, width, quantity and application. If you already produce laminated glass, you can also tell us your current EVA processing conditions so that we can recommend the appropriate material and lamination parameters.

7.How long does production normally take?

For standard products, the normal production lead time is approximately 7–15 days, depending on the specification and order quantity.
