Product Introduction
Smart Glass, also known as Switchable Glass or Privacy Glass, is a laminated glass that integrates PDLC smart film between two pieces of glass.
When power is applied, the glass becomes transparent.
When the power is turned off, the glass instantly turns opaque (frosted), providing immediate privacy.
Smart glass can replace traditional curtains or blinds, offering a modern, clean, and intelligent solution for architectural design.
How Smart Glass Works
Smart glass is based on PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) technology.
When the power is OFF:
- Liquid crystal molecules are randomly arranged
- Light is scattered
- The glass appears frosted or opaque
When the power is ON:
- Liquid crystal molecules align in the same direction
- Light passes through the glass
- The glass becomes transparent
The switching process takes only 0.1–0.2 seconds.
