HJ-WA is E&N HONJIA's clear EVA interlayer for outdoor laminated glass applications.
It is the higher-flow option in our HJ-WA / HJ-WH outdoor EVA series. During lamination, HJ-WA provides more flow and penetration than HJ-WH, making it suitable for glass processors who prefer easier wet-out during the lamination process.
The film is mainly used for architectural and outdoor safety glass where transparency, glass adhesion, resistance to moisture and long-term outdoor appearance are important.
HJ-WA is supplied in 0.38 mm and 0.76 mm standard thicknesses. Standard width is up to 2500 mm, with other dimensions available according to production requirements.
A typical laminated glass structure using HJ-WA is:

During lamination, the EVA film is placed between the glass sheets and processed under heat and vacuum. The film flows between the glass surfaces and crosslinks during the cycle, forming the bonding layer of the finished laminated glass.
Provides the main structural surface and determines the basic thickness, shape and appearance of the finished panel.
Bonds the glass layers together and contributes to the optical appearance, moisture resistance and fragment retention of the laminated glass.
After the lamination cycle is completed, the glass and EVA interlayer form one laminated structure ready for the intended application.
HJ-WA has visible light transmittance above 90% and haze below 0.3%. It is intended for laminated glass where a clear finished appearance is required.
HJ-WA is the higher-flow grade in the HJ-WA / HJ-WH series. It is normally selected when more EVA flow and penetration are preferred during processing.
For applications where tighter flow control and less edge overflow are required, HJ-WH is the more suitable option.
The film blocks at least 99% of UV radiation in the 280–380 nm range. This helps reduce the effect of long-term UV exposure on the laminated structure and its appearance.
HJ-WA has a measured glass adhesion value above 80 N/cm under the specified test conditions.
Good bonding is important for maintaining a stable laminated structure during handling and use.
HJ-WA has been evaluated using boiling-water and damp-heat testing, including 100°C boiling water for 4 hours and 85°C / 85% relative humidity exposure.
These tests are used to check the stability of the film under demanding moisture and temperature conditions.
With tensile strength above 15 MPa and elongation at break of at least 700%, HJ-WA combines strength with flexibility before and after processing.
The standard specifications are designed around common laminated-glass production requirements:
0.38 mm × 2500 mm × 100 m
0.76 mm × 2500 mm × 50 m
If another width or roll format is needed, please send us the required glass size and production details for confirmation.
HJ-WA is mainly intended for clear outdoor laminated glass where the interlayer must deal with long-term exposure to sunlight, temperature changes and humidity.
Suitable for clear laminated façade glass where appearance and outdoor durability are important.
Can be used in laminated roof and overhead glass exposed to sunlight and changing outdoor temperatures.
Suitable for laminated glass used in balconies, terraces, stairs and other architectural applications.
Final glass configuration should always be selected according to the structural and safety requirements of the project.
Can be used for exterior decorative glass and design panels where clear EVA and outdoor resistance are required.
For other applications, send us the glass structure, panel size and intended use. We can help check whether HJ-WA is the appropriate EVA grade before production.
HJ-WA and HJ-WH have similar optical and outdoor performance targets. The main difference is their flow behaviour during lamination.
| HJ-WA | HJ-WH | |
|---|---|---|
| EVA Type | Clear outdoor EVA | Clear outdoor EVA |
| Flow | Higher flow | Low flow |
| Light Transmittance | >90% | >90% |
| Haze | <0.3% | <0.3% |
| Standard Thickness | 0.38 / 0.76 mm | 0.38 / 0.76 mm |
| Main Processing Characteristic | More flow and penetration | Better flow control |
| Better Suited For | Processing where higher EVA flow is preferred | Processing where reduced edge flow is preferred |
More EVA flow during lamination is useful for your glass structure or production method.
You need tighter control of the film during lamination or want to reduce excessive EVA flow around the glass edges.
If you are not sure which grade to use, send us your glass structure, panel size and current lamination process. We can compare HJ-WA and HJ-WH for your application.
Our standard HJ-WA specifications are:
Thickness: 0.38 mm and 0.76 mm
Standard Width: 2500 mm
Roll Length: 100 m for 0.38 mm and 50 m for 0.76 mm
Other dimensions can be discussed according to the required specification and production quantity.
When asking for a custom size, please provide:
Glass size
Required EVA thickness
Required film width
Approximate quantity
Laminated glass application
This helps us check the most practical production arrangement before quotation.
We do not recommend using one fixed lamination cycle for every project.
The suitable process can change according to:
Glass thickness
Number of glass layers
EVA thickness
Panel size
Vacuum system
Heating equipment
Production loading method
If you are testing HJ-WA for the first time, send us your glass structure and equipment information before production. Our team can provide the relevant processing recommendation for your trial.
This is especially useful when switching from another EVA grade or when working with large glass panels.
HJ-WA EVA film is produced in our controlled workshop and goes through inspection before shipment.
The EVA film is produced according to the required thickness and roll specification.
Film thickness, roll condition and visible appearance are checked during production and final inspection.
Product testing includes key properties such as optical performance, adhesion, UV resistance and crosslinking performance.
Each roll is checked before packing to identify visible defects or specification issues.
Finished EVA rolls are protected with PE film and packed for transportation. Carton or pallet packing is used according to the order and shipping arrangement.
Different laminated-glass factories use different glass structures, furnaces, vacuum systems and production settings. For this reason, choosing the correct EVA grade is often more important than simply comparing one specification table with another.
E&N HONJIA supplies different EVA grades for indoor, outdoor, clear, ultra-clear and different flow requirements.
For customers testing a new product, we can discuss the glass structure and application before the order, help select the suitable EVA grade and provide samples for evaluation.
Custom dimensions, trial orders and regular production orders can all be discussed according to the actual project requirement.
Our aim is simple: provide the film that matches the customer's lamination process, rather than asking the customer to adapt every project to one EVA grade.
Both are clear EVA grades for outdoor laminated glass.
HJ-WA has higher fluidity during lamination, while HJ-WH is a low-flow grade designed for better control of EVA movement around the glass edges.
The better option depends on your glass structure and production process.
The standard specifications are:
0.38 mm × 2500 mm × 100 m
0.76 mm × 2500 mm × 50 m
Other dimensions can be discussed according to your requirement.

Yes. Samples are available for product testing.
Tell us which thickness you need and what type of laminated glass you plan to produce. We will confirm the appropriate sample arrangement and shipping details with you.
We can support trial orders as well as regular production orders.
The most practical minimum quantity depends on the thickness, width, roll specification and current production arrangement, so please send us your required specification for confirmation.
For standard products, the usual production lead time is around 7–15 working days after the order is confirmed.
Actual timing depends on quantity, specification and production schedule.
The correct process depends on the glass thickness, EVA structure, panel size and lamination equipment.
Rather than giving one setting for every customer, we recommend sending us your glass configuration and equipment information so we can provide the corresponding processing recommendation.
EVA rolls are protected with PE film and packed for transportation. Carton or pallet packing can be arranged according to the order and shipping method.
Yes. HJ-WA is developed for outdoor laminated glass and has been evaluated for UV, moisture and heat-related performance.
The final suitability still depends on the complete glass structure and the requirements of the finished project.
Exposed-edge performance depends not only on the EVA film but also on glass processing, edge quality, installation conditions and the final application.
If the glass edge will remain exposed outdoors, please tell us the glass structure and project conditions before specifying the product. We can review the application with you first.
